Steak, Cheese & Egg Omelette Recipe

This is a phenomenal and house favorite at Ketogeek. It will remind you of your favorite Philly cheese steak sandwich, minus the bun. This is a great way to start your day while it can also serve as a great post-workout meal after an early morning exercise routine. It's also phenomenal for late night cravings for something melty, cheesy and salty.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1.5 cups chopped mushrooms
  • 2 bell peppers, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 6-8oz. sliced steak
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

OPTIONAL

  • Hot sauce

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat
  2. Saute onions, peppers and mushrooms with salt and pepper for 3-5 minutes
  3. Cook steak(if uncooked) for 2 minutes each side and add it to vegetable mixture above
  4. Beat eggs with salt and pepper
  5. Cook eggs for 30 seconds on skillet while spreading them out
  6. Layer cheese and vegetable/steak mixture and cook until cheese has melted
  7. Serve with hot sauce

Feel free to add leftovers from a day ago into the beaten eggs
