Chocolate Fudge Protein Energy Shake || Recipe

Chocolate Fudge Energy Pod Protein Shake

This is an excellent pre or post workout shake that we love to consume at Ketogeek. This is excellent for not just keto and low carb lifestyle but for anyone who wants to start the day with some easy and clean energy along with high quality protein.

It has a deep chocolate flavor and takes only a few minutes to make. Because of how the Energy Pods are flavored and engineered, the shake becomes a bit richer and thicker. 

As far as the texture and flavor, you can modify it by adding more sucralose(Splenda) to this recipe. You can consume this 30 minutes before or within 30 minutes after a workout. Additionally, if you skip breakfast, this is a perfect shake to get your day started without the extra buzz. 

The recipe uses unflavored whey protein powder. We highly recommend having a bag of unflavored protein powder at home as you can use different flavors to create your own shakes as needed. Many unflavored protein shakes come with emulsifying agents(eg. soy lecithin, sunflower lecithin etc.) However, Energy Pods contain emulsifying and thickening agents so you can even do with just pure unflavored whey protein concentrate or isolate. 

Once you make this shake, you can store it in the fridge for 1-2 days if you do not want to consume all of it in one go.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Add water into a blender
  2. Add protein powder, followed by Energy Pod and Splenda to taste. 
  3. Blend for 2 minutes
  4. Serve chilled in a 12oz glass or mug
