Bagels can be tracked back to the 13th-century Arabic cookbooks and evolved from 15th-century Poland to resemblances in Italy and China and finally to the United States along with Eastern European immigrants of the late 19th century. It was late into the 20th century in the 1970s when bagels moved from an ethnic to a more mainstream trendy food item and eventually a regular breakfast food and multibillion-dollar industry in the United States.
Bagels, from a health perspective, contain lots of free energy with a minimal amount of protein and therefore can be an excellent food product to boost your energy in a day. Our bagel recipe allows you to use your favorite bagel(use low carb or keto bagels if you’d like to stay sugar-free) and supercharge it with nutrients and high-quality fats and proteins to take it up a notch while drastically enhancing the taste.
- Your favorite bagel
- Chocolate Energy Pod
- Pre-heat your oven or toaster oven to 375F
- Place bagel inside the oven and heat for 4-5 minutes until the outside is golden brown and toasty
- Carefully remove the bagel from the oven, slice it in half and slather in half an Energy Pod
- Serve and eat warm
