The Romans called walnuts "Juglans Regia" or "Jupiter's Royal Acorn" and it remains one of the oldest tree food known to man, dating all the way back to 7000 B.C. In Persia, they were a symbol of royalty and with time, they spread over the world through caravans and trade routes. English merchants transported these globally and hence they got the name "English Walnuts." These walnuts were first introduced here in San Francisco back in late 1700s in their small and hard shells and spread all over the state due to the suitable Mediterranean climate. Yup, these are the walnuts we use... except we source the highest grade we can find in Linden, California.

When Fahad (our founder) was in his early childhood, he used to visit a city called Gujranwala, one of the remaining bastions of the grand Mughal Empire, the same folks who gave us historical landmarks such as the Taj Mahal, Fort of Agra(Red Fort) and so much more. The city was known for its great hospitality and entire neighborhoods were bonded together. The women would frequent each other houses and then men would spend the evenings after work playing cards or indulging in hearty meals. During weekends, people would pour from parts of the country to visit this city and this city would truly be declared as one of the centers of the cuisines offered in the sub-continent. There was this one tiny sweet shop that would be usually very quiet or empty during the weekdays. It was difficult to find but everyone knew about it, all the way from far-fetched places of the country. When the weekend would arrive, this sweet shop would be bustling with life, from children to adults, and would become one of the centers for the city to visit. The treats from this shop were given to loved ones to celebrate festivity and joyful occasions such as marriages, birth of a child and so on. It symbolized bonding, love and the nobility of giving.
This was where Fahad found these specific delightful treats that were irresistible and unique. Some made with nuts, some with fruits and vegetables, some with roses, nuts and various flowers and others made with milk. His favorite one was made from ghee milked from local cows from a nearby village, walnuts from the colder areas of the country and derived from the cuisine of the great Mughal Empire. When Fahad started his keto journey, he wanted something similar to this delight and hence modified the recipe to turn it into something special and unique. The sugars were replaced with "zero" glycemic sweeteners and a tinge of spicy cardamom was added to the recipe to maintain the aroma of the original treat found in the subcontinent. Nothing like this exists and we are happy to bring you this unique product made from freshly ground walnuts, fresh-batched organic and grass-fed ghee made in our own kitchen and ingredients that are loaded with healthy fats.
We love our science and nutritional research but sometimes, there are much bigger things.. things like family, loved ones and experiencing the joys of life. We like to have it all!

Using a frother or mixer, add 6-8 ounces of boiling water to create a Walnut milk drink

No. The product will not spoil in very high or low temperatures due to the consituent ingredients. However, you can melt, refrigerate or freeze it to consume it whatever way you like! We particularly enjoy freezing it and making an ice-cream out of it.
Nearly all the dairy is removed when Ghee is prepared. No nuts are present but the product is made in a facility that processes nuts.
Monk fruit extract and Erythritol are sweeteners found naturally and have very low glycemic impact. Here's a study that shows it.
